Our training course prepares you for all three tests and beyond and you must pass each test in order, starting with the Part 1. You have a maximun of two years to complete Parts 2 and Part 3 from the date you first passed the Part 1 test. Their will be a mixture of classroom based and on-road practical training during your course. Their will also be some home-study too. All training material is provided within your course costs. The course is split into three modules (please see our course delivery modules below) which will be delivered at interval dates according to your availability.

Part One training
Part one of the qualification process comprises of two separate tests, and you are required to pass them both. The theory test checks your knowledge of the Highway Code, general road safety, driving techniques, basic first aid knowledge and the theory of instructing a pupil. The actual test itself lasts 90 minutes and you must achieve an 85 percent mark to pass. The second test includes a hazard perception test using 14 video clips, one of which will feature two hazards. On this test, you must score 57 points out of a possible 75.

Part Two training
The second stage is an advanced practical driving test. You will be expected to demonstrate a professional level of driving ability. Your course includes 10 hours of one-to-one training with an accredited Superdrive Academy advanced driver trainer. The test itself lasts around an hour and you’ll be asked to carry out two manoeuvres.

Part Three training
This final stage checks your instructional ability, preparing you to be able to pass on your driving skills to others using client centred teaching methods. Superdrive Academy provide you with the required hours and excellent training. We are ORDIT registered which means our teaching standards and course program has been checked by the official awarding body who examine you on your Part Three. Superdrive Academy are one of the only registered ORDIT training companies in the area. Once you’ve completed the necessary training hours, you have the option to go on a trainee licence to practice your craft before you take your final test. This option allows you to earn a salary while you train.
